2023 Young Engineer of the Year Nomination Form

 

ESD established this award to recognize the engineer under the age of 35 who has most distinguished themselves compared to all others in that year.

  • Nominees must be under the age of 35.
  • Candidates must be ESD members.
  • A person may be nominated in  more than one year.
  • The award will be presented at the Society’s annual awards program.

Young Engineer of the Year Nomination 2023

ESD recognized one engineer under the age of 35 who has distinguished themselves above all others that year.

I. General Information

If date of birth is unknown, please list current age.
ESD Membership

II. Education

Degrees held, years in which they were granted, fields of study for each and college or university granting the degree. Include graduate and post graduate work and board certification where applicable.
List any academic honors received.

III. Work Experience

Present employer, position, length of service, responsibilities and accomplishments. Names of companies or organizations, positions, titles, length of service and responsibilities for any other organization since graduation. Include internships and co-ops if applicable.
List special projects/assignments/accomplishments, etc.

IV. Professional Activities

Any new devices, methods or theories devised all or in part by nominee; includes patents or patent applications and any pertinent information. Any papers, journal articles or books published as a result of every day work or other work, giving the complete citation for each.
Lectures, tutorials, speeches, debates and papers given and other pertinent public appearances related to engineering. Give date, subject matter, location and audience.
Professional and honorary societies in which membership is held. Include any offices held and dates. Participation in ESD activities, conferences, committees, Future City Competition, etc.

V. Community Activities

Civic, professional and philanthropic activities, youth work, charitable organizations and churches.
Any non-engineering publications, lectures or debates. Give location, date, audience and subject matter.

VI. References

Names, addresses and telephone numbers of three non-relatives familiar with your commitment to the above activities. Reference letters should be sent directly from candidate’s management following management’s review of candidate’s application. Form letters nominating more than one candidate will not be accepted for consideration.
